Grass Cutting

The Parish Council cuts the grass at various locations around the village at regular intervals. This is currently done by a contractor working for the council.

Grass should be cut regularly and appropriately for both the season and the area. For example the council’s playing field managed and cut with the advice of Ducklington Sports Club to ensure that the cricket and football pitches are at their best.

The council tries to achieve a balance between aesthetically pleasing and ecologically aware cutting – therefore there are areas around the pond that are left to grow longer to encourage the bio-diversity of the area.
