Birds and Nests protected
Did you know that intentionally disturbing or destroying birds nests can lead to arrest?
Birds, nests and eggs are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the breeding season runs from May until September.
Wildlife Crime Officer PC Simon Towers is asking Country Watch members to report any incidents of intentional nest destruction.
If you have seen anyone doing this or have information that they are, please contact the police on 0845 8 505 505 and ask for your Wildlife Crime Officer.
